Teen & Young Adult Suicide Prevention Sub-Committee
Who We Are
The Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force values the voices and leadership of our younger community members. The Youth & Young Adult Subcommittee plays an essential role in shaping how we reach people with messages of hope, prevention, and awareness.
The group meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Bensalem Library, located at 3700 Hulmeville, PA 19020.
This Subcommittee is made up of passionate young adults and youth advocates who are committed to spreading awareness, breaking down stigma, and supporting peers in meaningful ways. Together, they bring fresh ideas, creativity, and energy to the Task Force’s mission of preventing suicide.
What We Do
The Youth & Young Adult Subcommittee helps to:
- Provide input and ideas for planning events that resonate with young people.
- Create and share suicide prevention messages through videos, social media campaigns, and other creative platforms.
- Develop resources that speak directly to youth, including a suicide prevention coloring book distributed to local inpatient hospitals and available as a free community giveaway.
- Ensure that the voices of young people are heard in suicide prevention efforts across Bucks County.
