LGBTQ+ Suicide Prevention Sub-Committee
Who We Are
The Subcommittee is made up of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who are deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive community for all. By bringing together diverse voices and experiences, the group ensures that suicide prevention efforts are inclusive, affirming, and accessible.
Members want to collaborate with local schools, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations to promote mental health education and to reduce stigma around seeking help.

They are working to develop and share resources tailored to the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth and adults—such as identity-based discrimination, family rejection, and social isolation, while also advocating for policies that protect and uplift the community.
Through peer-led outreach, training sessions, and visibility at community events, the Subcommittee fosters connection and hope, demonstrating that every individual’s life and story are valued.

Join Us
The Teens and Young Adults Sub-Committee (TAY) engages older teens, families, and organizations to provide education, early intervention, and peer-driven resources that meet young adults where they are.
At-Risk Communities
Together, these teams create inclusive pathways to hope and healing for some of our most at-risk neighbors.
If you see a community or focus area we have not yet addressed, please let us know. We welcome your ideas and will gladly explore forming additional sub-committees to meet emerging needs.
